Hybrid DevOps Engineer to Technology Company in Porto, Portugal

Responsibilities:

  • Support us in planning and designing the infrastructure of our products
  • Design, build and maintain the CI/CD infrastructure and tools to deliver high-quality software in the most efficient manner
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and deployment
  • Implement and maintain GitOps practices for version-controlled and declarative infrastructure and application management
  • Work with Security Team to ensure systems are safe against security threats and set up security protocols.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot applications and infrastructure, responding to system issues as necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless, automated, and secure release processes.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in DevOps, containerization, and cloud services.

Requirements:

  • A degree or education in computer science and/or proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI/CD)
  • Proficient with Kubernetes and Docker container management
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform
  • Experience with one or more of the main cloud providers (GCP, Azure or AWS)
  • Experience with GitOps and source control management tools like Git
  • Solid understanding of network, security, and cloud infrastructure
  • Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash)
  • Good knowledge of the HTTP protocol and how HTTP-based microservices work
  • Knowledge of Java, Go and SQL is advantageous
  • English is no hurdle for you (at least B2-level required)
  • You are a team player and work independently and autonomously
