The Role:
Supporting the design and implementation of reliable and scalable systems.
Assisting in the development of automation tools for system monitoring and incident response.
Collaborating with development teams to enhance deployment and infrastructure processes.
Monitoring and troubleshooting production systems to identify and resolve issues.
Participating in on-call rotations to support production environments.
Expanding your expertise in cloud platforms and DevOps best practices.
Enhancing system observability with logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
Improving incident management processes by conducting root cause analyses and developing preventive measures.
Supporting CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline software delivery.
Working on infrastructure automation projects to increase operational efficiency.
Requirements:
BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2+ years' experience in a similar role.
Good understanding of cloud environments and automation tools.
Experience with monitoring and incident response systems.
Working knowledge of scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or SaltStack).
Basic familiarity with distributed systems, networking, and database reliability.
Eagerness to troubleshoot and optimise performance in complex environments.
Exposure to containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in a production environment.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and best practices.
Experience working with Unix/Linux-based systems and automation.
