About the role

The Scrum Master teaches Scrum to the whole organization and coaches in their never-ending adoption, uses a deep Scrum understanding to guide everybody to discover how they can best contribute to creating the most valuable product.

Scrum Master provides service to IT teams (coaching in development of high-value products, technical excellence practices, effective facilitation of team events, identifying and helping to resolve team impediments), to Product Owners (effective backlog management, clarity of backlog items value proposition, ..), and to Organization (adoption of lean/agile principles, removal of waste, improving transparency for stakeholders, descaling of the organizational design and removal of bureaucracy).

Our client would like to hire a person with experience with LeSS and the new Scrum Master will be helping with LeSS adoption in yjr company. Initially, the Scrum Master will be coaching 2-3 teams. Progressively, on organizational level, they would like our Scrum master to work side-by-side with management on wider adoption of LeSS principles and improving the organizational design over time.

Required

  • Agile mindset
  • Deep understanding of Lean-Agile leadership values and principles
  • Profound knowledge of Scrum framework
  • Experience with LeSS adoption with ability to facilitate LeSS framework events
  • Excellent facilitation skills, with a demonstrable history of working in multi-teams ecosystem
  • Superb conflict resolution skills, with an ability to empathically gauge situations and diffuse tension through understanding and addressing people's needs.
  • Ability to influence, convince and resolve conflicts across a distributed organization
  • Ability and desire to stay up to date on best practices in Lean-Agile leadership models and Software Development

  • Effective negotiation skills in the context of a development team and diverse kinds of stakeholders and customers

Responsibilities

  • To educate and coach the teams in Scrum, LeSS, self-management, taking on a shared responsibility, cross-functionality and multi-specialization
  • To educate and coach the teams in modern development practices and technical excellence
  • To coach Product owners in best use of Product backlog, in interactions with the team in order to maximize the value for the customer
  • To partner up with management in improving organizational design as a coach and educator
  • To remove bureaucracy, remove waste and increase transparency through "descaling" of the organization
  • Keep up with the latest developments of best practices on lean-agile scene and with agile communities

Salary: up to 60.000 EUR / gross per year (experience depending)
