It has a stunning old town, lots of culture, and many beautiful beaches situated in La Costa del Sol (Southern Span, Andalusia). One of the perks, when you work in Marbella, is the fact that it has one of the highest disposable income levels in the whole of southern Spain and its businesses are vitally important to the economy of Malaga region, contributing approximately 14% of all trade.
The service sector, including property sales and hospitality, is the city’s biggest employer and accounts for around 60% jobs. Many of the jobs available to expats are on a seasonal basis. Longer-term positions for expats do regularly come up in real estate and construction. Sales jobs are popular, and many are offered on a commission basis.
One of the many pleasures you can find in Marbella is the fantastic food. Enjoying some traditional tapas, seafood and paella head to one of the many “chiringuitos” on the beach or into the restaurants situated in the streets of the old town.
