The company is an award winning forex and commodities broker, providing trading services and facilities to both retail and institutional clients. They offers various accounts types, trading software and tools to facilitate individuals and institutional customers to trade Forex and CFD's online.
Role:
They are seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join their team and help ensure the quality of our web and mobile applications. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for executing test cases and plans, identifying and reporting software defects, and collaborating with the development team to resolve issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Uses, improves and maintains the company’s test automation framework and tools
Designs automated tests to validate the functionality of web mobile applications
Applies continuous integration methodologies and uses test automation servers to automate code deployment and testing, and also ensure that code standards are applied
Prepares test environments and all necessary procedures and/or infrastructure to develop and to execute automated tests
Works with the development team to capture and reuse automated units test cases, test plans and other Development test objects
Monitors every phase of the software development process
Ensures the quality of a product including reliability, usability and performance
Creates test plans, test cases, test execution , test automation and reporting activities in an active development environment
Requirements
BSc/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant field.
3+ years’ experience as a QA Automation Engineer.
A thorough understanding of relevant QA technologies and methodologies.
Extensive expertise in test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, and related frameworks.
Proficient in scripting languages like Bash, Python, Groovy, and Ruby.
In-depth knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Good knowledge of test automation tools such as Junit, pytest.
Proven experience with Postman and/or SoapUI for API and backend services testing.
Practical experience with JavaScript and HTML/CSS to support automated tests development.
Hands-on experience in Linux environments (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu).
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
Familiarity with Kubernetes would be considered an advantage.
Familiarity with JIRA or similar defect tracking tools.
Experience with Python web frameworks (e.g., Flask, Tornado, FastAPI) would be considered an advantage,
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Proactive approach to process improvement.
Comfortable in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
